Limited Warranty for Solar Panel

Preface

RV Solar Systems guarantees that its solar modules (hereafter “modules”) are designed and manufactured for a long life span and provides the following limited warranty:

1. Limited Product Warranty

RV Solar Systems warrants that its modules will be free from defects in materials and workmanship under normal conditions of use, installation, and maintenance. If, within 5 years ( 1st year parts and labour years 2-3-4&5 parts only labour charged at prevailing rate ) counting from the date of delivery, damages or defects occur in the course of use due to the use of inferior materials and/or bad workmanship, confirmed by RV Solar Systems will, at its sole discretion, repair or replace the module(s),

Repair, replacement, are the only and exclusive performances guaranteed under this “Limited. Product Warranty” which is limited to the above specified period.

2. Limited Peak Power Warranty

2.1 RV Solar Systems warrants: If, within the first ten (10) years from the date of delivery, any module(s) exhibits a power output less than 90% of the minimum Peak Power as shown in the RV Solar Systems flash report at Standard Test Conditions (radiation 1000W/m², spectrum AM=1.5, centigrade 25℃), RV Solar Systems will, at its sole discretion, repair or replace the module(s), or deliver additional module(s) to compensate the loss of the output, proved that such a loss of output is attributable to defects in material and /or workmanship by the diagnosis of RV Solar Systems.

2.2 RV Solar Systems warrants: If, within the first twenty-five (25) years from the date of delivery, any module(s) exhibits a power output less than 80% of the minimum Peak Power as shown in the RV Solar Systems flash report at Standard Test Conditions (radiation 1000W/m², spectrum AM=1.5, centigrade 25℃), RV Solar Systems will, at its sole discretion, repair or replace the module(s), or deliver additional module(s) to compensate the loss of the output, proved that such a loss of output is attributable to defects in material and /or workmanship by the diagnosis of RV Solar Systems. Repair, replacement, and additional delivery are the only and exclusive performances guaranteed under this “Limited Peak. Power Warranty” which is limited to the above specified period(s).

3. Exclusions and limitations

3.1 In any event, all warranty claims must be filed within the applicable warranty period.

3.2 The "Limited Product Warranty" and the "Limited Peak Power Warranty" do not apply to any damaged module(s) caused by:

(1)Negligence with storage, transport or handling;

(2)Incorrectly operated, inappropriately used, or exposed to accidents;

(3) Alternation, improper installation or application;

(4) Repair or modification by someone other than an approved service technician of RV Solar Systems;

(5)Outer impacts, for example, defective system design, configuration, installation planning, or defective equipment part, appliances, system components like connecting cables, inverters, or mud on the front glass, pollution or damage due to smoke, salt, acid rain, etc;

(6)Force of nature, force majeure, or other unforeseeable circumstances outside of the range of the influence of RV Solar Systems , for instance, earthquake, typhoon, whirlwind, volcanic eruption, flood, lightening, snowstorm, war, etc;

(7) Unknown industry technical failures at the time of the delivery

3.3 Warranty claims will not be honoured if the serial number of the module(s) has been altered, removed or made illegible.

3.4 The limited warranties do not cover any transportation charge and customs clearance costs for return of the module(s), for reshipment of any repaired or replaced module(s), or cost associated with installation, removal or reinstallation of the module(s).

3.5 RV Solar Systems is only liable for the direct loss of modules, and not liable for any incidental, consequential, or punitive losses and /or damages.

3.6 The limited warranties do not apply to special or off grade module.

3.7 Any cables and or conections.
 

4. Other terms

RV Solar Systems reserves the right to deliver another type of module with difference in size, form, colour, and/or output if the type of the reclaimed module is no longer produced at the time of complaint. The repair, replacement, or additional delivery of the module(s) neither renews nor extends the period of the warranties.

Any replaced module(s) shall become the property of RV Solar Systems.

5. Limitation of Warranty Scope

The above warranties replace as well as exclude all other explicit or implicit warranties- including but not limited to those from commercial law(s) and those of the suitability for a particular application, and all other obligations and liabilities on the part of RV Solar Systems, unless those warranties, obligations and liabilities disclaimed here in are otherwise. Explicitly pledged by RV Solar Systems in written form.

6. Severability

If a part, provision or clause of this “Solar Modules Limited Warranty”, or the application thereof to any person or circumstance, is held invalid, void or unenforceable, such holding shall not affect and shall leave all other parts, provisions, clauses or applications of this “Solar Modules Limited Warranty”, and to this end such other parts, provisions, clauses or applications of this “Solar Modules Limited Warranty” shall be treated as severable.

7．Claims

If the customer feels a justified claim covered by this "Solar Modules Limited Warranty", an immediate notification directly to RV Solar Systems shall be filed by mailing a written letter to the address below or, sending an email letter to the email account of RV Solar Systems. Together with the notification, the customer should enclose the evidence of the claim with the corresponding serial number of the module(s) and copy of RV Solar Systems sales invoice. The return of any module(s) will not be accepted unless prior written authorization has been given by RV Solar Systems. All shipping fees both to and from RV Solar Systems must be paid by the customer.

8. Disputes

In case of discrepancy in a warranty-claim, a first-class international test-institute such as TUV Rhineland in Cologne/Germany shall be involved to judge the claim finally. All fees and expenses shall be borne by the losing party. No action, regardless of form, arising out of or in any way connected with this “Solar modules Limited Warranty”, maybe brought against RV Solar Systems more than one (1) year after the cause of action has accrued.

9. Validity

This "Solar Modules Limited Warranty" is valid only for the initial purchaser and panel serial number/s as stated the solar panel/s.
